Our Staff:

Peter Chaplin, PT, MS, MSPT, DPT, OCS, MCMT


Dr. Peter Chaplin graduated from SUNY at Stony Brook with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.   Peter spent approximately 5 years working in an acute care hospital setting treating primarily orthopedic and neurological patients while continuing graduate studies in business and medicine.   Dr. Chaplin founded Franklin Square Physical Therapy in 1999 as a premier out patient physical therapy and rehabilitation facility with the goal of delivering the best quality care to patients.

While striving to continually improve patient care Dr. Chaplin obtained his Masters of Science in Health Care Policy and Management from SUNY Stony Brook in 2001,  Masters of Science in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from Touro College of Medicine in 2005 and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in 2006.  

In 2008 Dr. Chaplin earned the distinction of Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist from the American Physical Therapy Association, an honor which is held by less than 10% of practicing therapists and holds a Master Certification in Manual Therapy since 2010.

Dr. Chaplin continues as the Director of Franklin Square Physical Therapy and Center Coordinator of Clinical Education for three local universities pursuing  additional continuing education to advance the skills of  the Physical Therapy profession.

One key aspect of his care is to treat each and every patient like they are a family member. 



Alvin Munian, DPT


Dr. Alvin Munian, DPT graduated with a BS/D.P.T. in Health Science concentrated in Psychology and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Touro College.  Dr.Munian has a well-rounded background rehabilitating the neurological, orthopedic outpatient, orthopedic post-operative, and geriatric populations. He strives to commit himself to delivering the best physical therapy services possible to his patients. Dr.Munian presents himself with the utmost respect and compassion to his patients. He makes the greatest effort to provide personal care to every individual’s unique needs.  He is currently taking continuing education classes to further his manual therapy skills. Outside of work, Dr.Munian is an avid martial artist, practicing for over 16 years. 

 

Roni Levy, DPT

Dr. Roni Levy, DPT graduated from Touro College School of Health Sciences with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Dr. Levy has a well rounded background in rehabilitating the orthopedic oupatient, post-operative orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric patient populations. He prides himself on providing high quality care that addresses each patient's unique needs and enhances their physical therapy experience. Dr. Levy is currently taking continuing education courses to further expand his knowlege and implement new therapy techniques. Outside of work, Dr. Levy likes to watch/play sports, attend sporting events, and volunteers his time to promote the profession of physical therapy. 

 


Rejomon Phillip, DPT

Dr. Rejomon Philip, DPT graduated from New York Institute of Technology’s B.S/D.P.T.
program with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy with Distinction. Dr. Philip has exposure to a wide variety of patient populations including orthopedic post operative, sports rehab, geriatrics and sub acute rehabilitation as well as chronic pain management. He
approaches each patient with the same level of compassion and professionalism and is dedicated to providing the most appropriate care to assist in the full recovery of his patients. Outside of work, Dr. Philip enjoys playing/watching basketball, and bowling.

 

 

Lori Chaplin 


Lori Chaplin has been the office manager at Franklin Square Physical Therapy for the past 10 years.  Lori has extensive experience in medical office management and  has an impressive background in medical billing, claims submission, electronic medical records, insurance policy and administration.   Lori has been instrumental in ensuring the delivery of patient care at Franklin Square Physical Therapy as a patient advocate navigating the complex insurance maze.  Lori is a charismatic member of our rehabilitation support team and a warm welcome for all new and returning patients.

 


Maureen Locicero

 


A Franklin Square resident and working in our office for over 10 years, Maureen is passionate about providing excellence in all areas of patient care.  She is a warm and caring woman, and is responsible for coordinating the hundreds of details involved in every patients course of treatment. Maureen directly performs the multitude of jobs associated with insurance claims, authorizations and scheduling appointments so that our patients can recieve the care they need as quickly as possible. She takes great pride in making sure that every patient has a smooth process from the start to finish!
